Job Description

  • Instructs, directs, and checks the work of a team of business solutions architects.

  • Oversees formulation and definition of systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.

  • Provides oversight and execution to insure business systems are efficiently supporting business processes on a day-to-day basis.

  • Engages with business personnel to continually evaluate alignment of business processes and supporting systems. Initiates and leads short and long term process improvement initiatives.

  • Serves as a liaison between the business and IT for initiating and assisting in development of business systems. Interviews and makes recommendations for additional staff.

  • Assigns work to subordinates, monitors performance, and conducts performance appraisals.

  • Participates in IT financial management activities including annual budgeting cycle, project estimating, capital approval process, project budget oversight, and resource time tracking.

  • May be responsible for multi-year planning to determine broad direction, prioritize projects and evaluate ROI within a functional sub-area.


  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience.

Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP modules:

  • Financial Management – (AP, AR, GL and AM) - SAP FI Configuration expertise in General Ledger / New GL, A/R, A/P, Bank File Processing, Cost Elements, Profit Centers, Orders, Fixed Assets and other facets of the FI and CO modules

  • Effectively understand and communicate the implications of business process decisions and their implementation in a global SAP environment

  • Ability to drive blueprint workshops and communicate directly with business users

  • Experience in managing SAP implementation projects- requirement gathering, scoping, estimation, staffing.

  • Possesses full technical knowledge of systems analysis and has deep knowledge of the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both end users and IT staff.

  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to advise subordinates in order to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
