Job Description

Team Mission Statement: The Supply Chain Systems Manager’s primary responsibilities are to support the execution of the World Wide Supply Chain (WWSC) IT/Analytics roadmap. Overall, the Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring that the WWSC team has the necessary tools, systems and processes in place to execute strategic roadmaps. The WWSC team’s main responsibilities encompass global strategic sourcing of components and commodities, transportation sourcing for both North America and international and risk management. In this role the Supply Chain Systems Manager will be responsible for development and execution of a program roadmap to support key areas. The manager is responsible for working closely with IT and cross-functional teams to deliver these projects on time and on budget.

Responsibilities/Activities :

  • Leads multi-disciplinary teams, composed of various levels of personnel, vendors, and clients to create and deploy successful programs.

  • Identifies areas of improvement, prioritizes work based on impact/ease, and leads cross functional implementation.

  • Works with WWSC team and business leaders to analyze the current Lennox Worldwide Supply Chain processes being used to deliver business performance targets.

  • Must be able to engage project team members to complete tasks and meet deadlines without direct managerial authority.

  • Contribute to a program roadmap of key initiatives that this individual will lead to support the Worldwide Supply Chain teams.

  • Successfully implement short-term and long-term initiatives by leading teams, including working closely with Lennox IT and outside service providers.



  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience.

  • Successful, multi-year track record with clear demonstration of results

  • Travel as needed

  • Working knowledge of system applications (e.g., SAP, 3PL software, JDE, Manhattan) or similar applications

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills – able to construct/execute multiple complex analyses (e.g TCO, NPV; cost-price analyses) simultaneously

  • Broad understanding of process best practices and barriers to implementation

  • Good planning/project management skills – able to develop comprehensive workable issue sets in complex situations

  • Strong leader capable of working in a cross matrix organization and being a conduit between multiple business functions

  • Capable of building consensus and trust in order to execute cross functional objectives

  • Requires very strong data and business information skills including Excel, Access, and related skills

  • Passion for driving change – exhibits enthusiasm to establish new approaches to support the WWSC team

  • Comfortable with conflict – willingness to challenge “conventional” thinking

  • Self-starter and independent worker – able to juggle priorities

  • Strong customer service and relational skills

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including routine presentations of progress to Vice Presidents/Directors
