Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions to customers in more than 70 countries. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain, Columbus and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, merchandise display cases and other top-quality refrigeration products for their six market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, Kysor/Warren and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

Job Description

This designer is responsible for producing advanced designs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and creating new/custom products in a fast paced environment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare detailed drawings of products from sketches using CAD software tools.

  • Follow instructions and procedures.

  • Perform advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies and engineering change orders.

  • Contribute design modifications to improve the quality and function of the product.

  • Ensure that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Requires at least 5 years related experience.

  • Experience working with sheet metal

  • Experience with sheet metal and cabinet design preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Expert knowledge of CAD software techniques and tools.

  • Knowledge of design tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
